But I am happy to report, after a successful stem cell transplant in September of 2006, she is in remission. In honor of her incredible, courageous mom, Ali is preparing to race in her honor in a half marathon here in Dallas as a member of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Team in Training. To hear Ali talk about how proud she is of her mother swells MY heart. And to see her training to run this half marathon, not for herself but for someone else, is so uplifting.
