Design Dilema....

I've got this great antique bamboo shelf like the one pictured below (I just grabbed this pic off of Ebay). I am having a heck of a time trying to figure out what to put on it. It's so light weight and fragile that I can't have anything too heavy on it and if I do....the weight needs to be distributed evenly throughout. Right now, I have it in my living room that is painted green (not a bright green but not a pale green) and I have a couple of pieces of myHerend and Majolica on there but they don't go together. I'm up for moving it to a different room, painting it...anything! Does anyone have any ideas of how to use this thing???
